The Project Manager can show or hide the Sensitivity Analysis at the end of the Collect Input steps. The purpose of the sensitivity analyses is to graphically see how the alternative priorities would change if the priorities of the objectives or sub-objectives are changed.
Dynamic Sensitivity analysis is used to play what-if with objective priorities to see change how these changes affect the priorities of the alternatives. This is for analysis only; the objective priority changes are not saved in the model and do not affect the results.
The left hand column in the dynamic sensitivity graph above shows the priorities of the top objectives while the right hand column shows the priorities of the alternatives.
By dragging the objective's priorities back and forth in the left column, the priorities of the alternatives will change in the right column. If you think an objective might be more or less important than originally indicated, drag that objective's bar to the right or left to increase or decrease the objective's priority and see the impact on alternatives.
(As an objective bar is dragged left or right to make it less or more important, all other objective priorities are increased or decreased in proportion.)
Sensitivity analysis can be performed from the Goal node of the objectives hierarchy, or from a top-level objective, or from a sub-objective.
Clicking the Reset button will reset all of the priorities (to those determined from the actual judgments or data in the model).
